The stiff and ultra-lightweight road bike. It's not just about the weight but what you do with it, too.
Designed as the evolution of the award winning DIABLO, the BURAsl was performance engineered to achieve the highest stiffness to weight ratio, ensuring the most efficient and direct power transfer.
A number of changes were made to the BURAsl to further decrease the frame weight. The carbon lay-up was reengineered to utilize longer strips of carbon pre-preg instead of shorter pieces, minimizing the number of overlapping layers.
BURAsl's front triangle is made from NEILPRYDE C6.9 unidirectional carbon fiber and incorporates our proprietary Exoskeleton technology. External carbon fiber ribs integrated in the key joints of the monocoque front triangle ensure the BURAsl frame responds immediately each time you step on the power.
Carbon fiber front and rear drop outs, a Press Fit 30 bottom bracket and carbon headset cups further reduce the frame weight without sacrificing durability or performance.
That is it: bare minimum weight and maximum performance. The only thing we piled on was the unflinching NEILPRYDE attitude, which weighs nothing.
Deep section chainstay combined with our Onepiece Stays construction result in decreased weight, increased stiffness in the rear triangle and improved power transfer
A high-tolerance control of wall thickness in bottom bracket and head tube is possible through use of PU mandrel and internal layer of 3k carbon fiber
First developed for the DIABLO, external carbon fiber ribs are integrated into the head tube and seat tube joints increasing lateral stiffness and torsional rigidity of the monocoque front triangle.
Offset seat tube for increased bottom bracket stiffness.
Ultra-thin vibration dampening seat stays for tuned compliance.
Square section toptube for torsional rigidity.
Mechanical (external cable routing) or Shimano Di2 (internal cable routing) ready 1-1/8 upper and 1-1/4 lower headset bearings.
Press Fit 30 bottom bracket.
Carbon fiber headset cups.
NEILPRYDE 27.2mm seat post for increased compliance.

"It’s a bike that needs taming, a beast that will appeal to out-and-out racers"
"Technically convincing, visually unique, comparatively reasonably priced. NeilPryde is on the rise."
"NeilPryde has only been making bikes for a few years, but its machines are already at the cutting edge"
"The three major targets when designing this frame – maximum stiffness in the bottom bracket and headtube combined with a very low weight – have certainly been met."
"Query over comfort on deep cracks but the stiff, super-light frame is a natural climber"
"The Bura SL is a new pro-level road racing bike developed with feedback from the United Healthcare team."
